Dr. Sara Malagold, PhD
Mae Miller, lmsw
Gabby Teller, lmsw
I am a Clinical Psychotherapist and hold a graduate degree as a Licensed Master Social Worker from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. My background is in Outpatient Mental Health, counseling individuals struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Schizophrenia, in both individual and group settings. I am also practicing as a Recreational Arts Therapist for developmentally disabled individuals in a group home setting.
My passion has always been helping people process their experiences in a creative, therapeutic way. I have found that music, art, and talk therapy help individuals connect with their inner experience. My background in art and music, along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques, inspires positive change within the individuals I counsel. My belief is that helping people discover and explore their unique strengths develops resilience to overcome life’s obstacles. Therapy is a process of working together as a team in gaining insight into oneself, a more positive outlook on life and the future, and belief in one’s innate ability to accomplish their individual goals.
